BHESA's Independence Day Celebration

The Bangladesh Heritage Society of Alberta celebrated the Great Independence and National Day in Canada on Sunday (March 26) afternoon by paying deep respect to the memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Great Liberation War.

The honorable guest was the brave freedom fighter, Delwar Jahid. President of Bangladesh Heritage and Ethnic Society of Alberta, prominent social activist Shah Sufi Moh. Laskar.

Former President of Bangladesh Heritage Society Ahsan Ullah Roni, Vice President Sultana Majumdar, General Secretary Chameli Laskar, Anika Swatiprabha, and Treasurer Saifur Hasan participated in the discussion. Delwar Zahid said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman gave the call for independence in the first hours of March 26, 1971, and ordered everyone to resist the Pakistani invaders with all his might. He was ordered to continue fighting until the final victory was achieved. Independence of Bangladesh was achieved in a bloody liberation war of 9 months. We have humble respect for all the martyrs of our liberation war and a bloody salute to all our comrades.

Anika Swatiprabha passionately called for united efforts to inspire the young generation in the spirit of the liberation war, emphasizing the shared purpose and collective goals of the Bangladesh Heritage Society of Alberta.

Chairman of the meeting Shah Sufi Mah. Laskar said Bangabandhu delivered the 7th March speech, reminiscing about the Liberation War and inspiring the audience with the impactful activities of Bangladesh Heritage Society of Alberta in implementing the spirit of the Liberation War.
