Celebration of International Mother Language Day

The Bangladesh Heritage and Ethnic Society of Alberta (BHESA) has joined a base event compiled by the Bangladesh PressClub Centre of Alberta (BPCA). The event is part of an initiave called A Celebration of Mother Language in Canada created by BPCA.

As part of the initiative the Bangladesh PressClub Centre of Alberta (BPCA) is preparing two local projects for the Mother Language Initiative, a publication issued by BPCA, and an event program to be held on International Mother Language Day 2015.

BHESA has joined the organization of the event program and is adding a children's drawings competition, a discussion and cultural programs to the celebration. Two other organizations, the Bangladeshi Students Association at University of Alberta (BSAUA) and the Bangladesh Canada Association of Edmonton are also organizing events in honor of the celebration of Mother Language Day here in Edmonton, Alberta.

We are looking forward to a rich and colorful program here in Edmonton as we celebrate the linguistic and cultural diversity of our communities in an effort to build peace and understanding between all nations and ethnic groups in our civilization.

Come and visit us at our event taking place at MacEwan University on February 21st, beginning at noon, 12.00 PM.

Find more details about this event, the program and all the other events happening in Edmonton at BPCA's website for the Mother Language Initiative at Projects in Edmonton.
