Election of the Executive Committee 2015
The Bangladesh Ethnic and Heritage Society of Alberta (BHESA) held the election of the Executive Committee for the year 2015 during its Annual General Meeting on December 25.
New Executive Committee 2015 and Election Commissioners of BHESA
The election commission of BHESA comprising Md. Siddique Hossain (Chair), Dr. Hafizur Rahman (Member) and Dr. Salah Shah (Member) conducted the election of the Executive Committee for the year 2015. The following persons were declared as elected:
- President: Delwar Jahid (re-elected)
- Vice-President: Zulfiquer Ahmed
- General Secretary: Mashod Bhuiyan
- Joint Gen. Secretary: M. Anamur Rahman Miea
- Treasurer: Nurul Huda
- Member of Communication Affairs: Dollin Islam (re-elected)
- Member of Social Affairs: Md. Mobasser
- Member of Sports Affairs: Akash Ali (re-elected)
- Member of Youth Affairs: Masum Chowdhury
- Ex-Officio / Honorary Member: Tomal Islam
The Annual General Meeting presided over Delwar Jahid contained a discussion and reports covering the work of the past year. Md. Siddique Hossain and Delwar Jahid held a speech, and General Secretary Ahsan Ullah presented his report. Ex-President Tajul Ali led the discussion, and executive members Noor-e-Alam, Md. Zakaria, as well as general members and families were present.
In his speech BHESA President Delwar Jahid emphasized the use of unity and non-partisan community efforts abroad to build a positive image of Bangladesh.
